Who thinks that bringing Pokemon Cards to school deserves ISS for punishment?! I don't!?

My new principal of the school made a grade 4 kid go to ISS (in school suspention) for bringing Pokemon cards to school! The principal is soooooo retarted!

Who thinks that bringing Pokemon Cards to school deserves ISS for punishment?! I don't!?
that is a stupid rule

plz tell me your in elementary school!!!
Reply:With just the facts on hand it is hard to say. Each schools punishment policies may be different and my concept of ISS may differ from yours. It does seem harsh overall. I don't think bringing pokemon cards merits a ISS but on the other hand i see where the principal is coming from. The school is meant as a learning environment. It really isn't for play. Many schools already ban certain things such as gameboys and pokemon cards because they can distract students. The kid in question could have done this several times or something but still the punishment seems to exceed the crime.

Pokemon does not in any way deal with gambling. On the other hand most schools have a sort of gambling system in place with the teachers. When march madness or other events occur often times there is a cash pool for the winner of the contest.
Reply:No, it's not.

First off, Pokemon is the MOST stupidest thing on the planet that only elementary school kids are interested in.

Second off, I learned that any kind of cards we bring to school are considered for uses of gambling and many principal's such as mine do not tolerate that kind of stuff.

Oh yeah, learn how to spell, kid.

Later.
Reply:Lots of principals do it. It's because it's essentially gambling and betting. Which if you're in high school, it still isn't allowed.
Reply:LOL! That is retarded I've never heard of a principal with a vendetta against pokemon.
Reply:Well, when I was in elementary, Pokemon cards had just become popular and we would always be trading them. Eventually they were banned because there were some people that would scam other kids out of their good cards, steal them, etc. Though, by the time the ban was put in place, I believe they had lost their popularity.

An ISS is too harsh, I think. Though, maybe the student had a few warnings before he got the ISS.

And as to the person above me, I still like Pokemon. And I'm not in elementary. Thanks.
