How do you play Pokemon cards?

i found a old stash and my 8 year old brother wants to play it with me


but i dont know a thing about the rules.....

How do you play Pokemon cards?

Reply:um... well the game is kind of weird but these are the instructions.





one person can only have 60 cards in their deck. when you want to attack it shows on the card what it does and the number is how much damage it does. at the top right corner it shows hp. the damage done takes away the hp. when it is at zero, the pokemon is defeated, and you must draw another card. also, on the bottom, is says retreat cost and resistance.here it gets complicated. resistance takes 10 hp from an attack with the same picture (if it said electric and it did 50 damage, it would do 40 damage.) and the one on the left says an element. if this is the element you are getting attacked by then it does an extra 10 damage. beside the attacks there shows what element it is. but you probably have saw the cards with the same picture. you must play as many of those cards as many elements on the attack are. the person who runs out of cards loses.
