i dont know of any of the new water cards but i kno of a ground type. it is called rypherior. it is the evolved form of rhydon. i discovered this by accident and found it to be very interesting. hope this helps

I've been on sites and for previous Pokemon TCG packs they have said
"... comes with Chansey, Venusaur" (for example)
But what do the Majestic Dawn packs come with?
I only want to buy them if I know what cards I'm getting. I'm more of a collector and if I'm going to get a lot of basic cards I don't want to waste money.

I know that cards are worth more if they are 1st edition or have an error rather than unlimited. How can I tell if they are 1st edition? Is there a speific marking? Does it say right on the card?

I found some pokemon cards in my room and i wanted to see how much they are worth ?
they are all holos. i have a charizard, venusaur, misty's gyarados, meganium,dark ampharos,pichu, light azumarill,poliwrath, and a politoed. and i would like to sell them also.

I have a huge collection of Pokemon and Magic cards. I don't want to take them to the collector's place because I'm afraid I'll get underpaid or stolen from or something. What's the easiest and best way to price my collection?

If you take your cards to a collector you will get way lower than the selling price. The easiest way to price them is to go buy a Scrye. They have 3 prices, good ok and bad condition. Most stores will take the cards for much less than bad condition value. Most people won't buy for high condition value. So you have to find a median. For instance, think how much you would be willing to buy the card for. If you wouldn't pay that much, don't expect someone else to. Also, I'm much more willing to buy bulk cards (Such as 500-1000 cards at at time) than I am to buy single cards. The reason being is that I play for fun, and not so much to have the number one deck. I can go out and find the best cards and make a killer deck out of it, but then I stop being competitive, and find myself playing with the same cards over and over again. If I buy a bulk lot, I still have a chance of getting good cards, but I also get the filler cards, and that is what makes the deck.

I have about 400 "shadowed" first edition cards, 2 green wing Charizards, A graded PSA 10 Charizard, a handful of red cheek Picachu, a bunch of shadowless non first Ed cards and an unopened shadowless Basic pack which could contain a green wing Charizard.
I should have sold them when they were hot because I had over $4000 worth of cards. Maybe in 20 years they will be valuable again.

If you have a card that you think is rare and is in good condition, it would be a good idea to research it. A simple Yahoo search should turn up lots of information on the card. Again, though, this is highly unlikely unless you had one of the rare Japanese cards. Most of the value of Pokemon cards was tied to its popularity. As the popularity evaporated, so did the value.
If you have a collection that is in good condition, and you're willing to wait a few decades, hold onto it. Make sure the cards are in individual sleeve protectors or in a binder that is in good condition (preferably both). Store them in a place that is dry and air-conditioned. Then wait. There's always the possibility that Pokemon could gain some retro value as time passes and its fans grow up. However, that's still many years away. Toys take decades to become valuable.
If your cards are in good shape but you really do not want to keep them, you can probably get a few dollars for the whole collection, but that's about it. I buy Pokemon cards and collections but I do so very cheaply. If you are interested, send me an email. I wouldn't try listing them on eBay unless you are a regular eBay user. You probably won't get enough money to make it worth it.
Finally, if your cards are not in good condition, it's probably not worth your time to try to sell them. Give them away or just trash them.

OK, I got it to come up, but all it tells me is that they're from the EX collection which has been going for a while (Ruby and Saphirre were the first in the EX series, up to Power Keepers I think) and that they're different from each other. I've never seen that package, can't find it online either-maybe it's a UK only thing? It says they're new, but I can't find it anywhere or even see that top card...sorry! You probably should've asked the seller what set they were from or something, if you had that you could probably find out the cards since most prepackaged decks have set content, but it's not a deck or it's have at least 60 cards in it.

I've never seen that package, can't find it online either-maybe it's a UK only thing? It says they're new, but I can't find it anywhere or even see that top card...sorry! You probably should've asked the seller what set they were from or something, if you had that you could probably find out the cards since most prepackaged decks have set content, but it's not a deck or it's have at least 60 cards in it.

it all depends on what the card is, if, the card has a star its rare pokemon, circle its common pokemon, diamond its evevolving pokemon so the small shapes in the corner have nothing to do with the rarity of the card but the rarity of the pokemon. even though the stars do mean that the card is strong/rare.

(Not the Lugia from the World Champion 2006 Deck). Unless it is a special energy card, it'll probably be worth less than one cent. A common is probably worth a few cents, A uncommon is worth ten, a rare is worth 50, a regular halo is worth $1 (but it can be as much as 10), a EX can range from $2-50. As for the evolutions, Those halos, especially the Machamp and Vaporeon are probably worth 50 cents because they can be bought from starter decks and theme decks. Nidoqueen and Raichu would probably be worth $1-1.50.
The evolutions are worth less than 10 cents. There are always some exceptions, Like Neo Cleffa or Base Charizard.

Reply:Instead of selling them in a big lot, try selling them individually. When people think of 633 cards, they don't think their each worth .50, they think that $300 is a lot of money. (its like shopping at costco, the more items in a package, the less each unit costs) try selling the rare ones on eBay. enthusiasts will see the value in the individually card and pay much more than .50 for it. Then, sell the others at a pawn shop, or card store. there are probably some around where you live. You might even find someone that really wants 600 cards... who knows?

I can tell you, there are so many pokemon cards circulating that I sell my shining charizards for between $5 and $10 dollars, thats only if the right person comes along and needs it to complete their collection. I have all the hologram cards from the base set first edition all the way to the currant " power keepers " which is the latest set just out.e-bay may say it's book value is $70, however that is beckette's list msrp price, but I never get that. If I could I would retire by selling all my cards ans other pokemon stuff. Be very careful alot of people want to see the cards first then pay, but they really want to make you feel you have nothing, and thay off $75 for the lot then turn around and make grab packs of 20 misc cards in a pck for $5 each. The best thing is to find a store like mine or by you and do it on consignment,just make sure you keep an inventory of what you have. Sort them by holo,reverse holo. star, diamond, and circle, then trainer and energy. Of cours promo's are seperate. Beckette books are a good guide, we always go half of what the book sais on promo's. Reply:Instead of selling them in a big lot, try selling them individually. When people think of 633 cards, they don't think their each worth .50, they think that $300 is a lot of money. (its like shopping at costco, the more items in a package, the less each unit costs) try selling the rare ones on eBay. enthusiasts will see the value in the individually card and pay much more than .50 for it. Then, sell the others at a pawn shop, or card store. there are probably some around where you live. You might even find someone that really wants 600 cards... who knows?

I can tell you, there are so many pokemon cards circulating that I sell my shining charizards for between $5 and $10 dollars, thats only if the right person comes along and needs it to complete their collection. I have all the hologram cards from the base set first edition all the way to the currant " power keepers " which is the latest set just out.e-bay may say it's book value is $70, however that is beckette's list msrp price, but I never get that. If I could I would retire by selling all my cards ans other pokemon stuff. Be very careful alot of people want to see the cards first then pay, but they really want to make you feel you have nothing, and thay off $75 for the lot then turn around and make grab packs of 20 misc cards in a pck for $5 each. The best thing is to find a store like mine or by you and do it on consignment,just make sure you keep an inventory of what you have. Sort them by holo,reverse holo. star, diamond, and circle, then trainer and energy. Of cours promo's are seperate. Beckette books are a good guide, we always go half of what the book sais on promo's. When I was young Pokemon was all the rage. I still have a binder full tucked away in a closet. I have a lot of 1st editions, halographics, and rare cards. Now I'm a poor college kid and I have been wondering if those cards are worth much? Will they ever be? I must have spent $1000 building my collection as a kid. If I could sell them for decent money I would.

I'm looking at buying a set of pokemon cards, all of them are holos, there is about 365 holos for sale. Would it be worth buying them for about $1 a piece and save them for along time? Or should I just avoid this with the chance of pokemon never coming back?

After looking each card up on the net, my sister and her hubby finally explained to him that like the old school garbage pale kids cards that my generation collected, they'd amount to nothing and in the trash they went. Those types of things are only made to get kids hooked and rake in the cash. I would say don't waste your money, buy something that is really entertaining.

You can check current prices on http://yugico.com/ for yu-gi-oh cards and http://www.playhere.com/pokemon/pricegui... for pokemons. Maybe you have some real rare cards?

Once you've seen how they go (or don't) I'd also use Dogpile or Google and look up "pokemon cards sale" or some such thing. See where else they're selling. Have a look around, do a little research, and then have fun selling your stuff.

If you list on craigslist, you will have to advertise on more platforms, since CSlist is mainly a regional or local site. Ebay is less narrowed, getting to a bigger audience.
Be ready to be disappointed, the internet has increased the supply from all over the world, and when supply is high, prices are low.
The longer you can hold onto something, ten. twenty, thirty years, the higher $ it will be.

I mean, After you attack the defending pokemon , would you keep the energy cards on the active pokemon. This has been a strife with my sister so speed you be appreciated.

Unless the attack tells you to discard an energy card, you can keep the energy on the pokemon. The only times you wouldn't would be: If the attack tells you to, if your pokemon faints, or retreat costs. If you had to discard an energy card every time you attacked, your deck would have to run 50% energy cards.

i'm so confused, just started going through my sons pack and we are trying to sort through it all. I just need a list of the cards in each type of pack, i.e. dragon fronteirs, delta force, etc. that we can print and check off to find out what we are missing. please help if you know a good site with this info.

What are reverse/ alternative holographic pokemon cards?
I've seen them selling on ebay, and I was wondering the they are real or a fake or whatever. :P

Pokemon Cards POP ID, can i use the one i made on pokemon.com for my first competition?
i ahvent played at a pokemon tournament yet, but i have made an account on pokemon.com. my account has a POP ID code. can i use taht when i go to my first tournament, or do the officials HAVE to make me a new one?
If i can use mine, do i jsut bring it with me?
