Pokemon cards are they valuable? will they be in the future?

When I was young Pokemon was all the rage. I still have a binder full tucked away in a closet. I have a lot of 1st editions, halographics, and rare cards. Now I'm a poor college kid and I have been wondering if those cards are worth much? Will they ever be? I must have spent $1000 building my collection as a kid. If I could sell them for decent money I would.

Well, im sure if you go to the loval book store you could buy or check out a beckett book that will tell you how much all the cards ar eworth. Ummm, the first pokemon cards ever made are like ultra rare and if you got like the whole set it would be worth about 2grand!!!! Im serious, an unopened booster pack from like the first series is almost 30 bucks right now... Im sure if you can get on ebay you could sell your holos for 20 each and make a lot of money. LOL i got a good collection of pokemon cards but have fun!!! And BTW, good luck with your college career...
Reply:depends on who you sell it to because some would pay hundreds for the old out of print ones while others wouldnt pay that much, but it all depends on who you sell it to.
Reply:Yes actually, the first sets what came, are very rare (because they are out of print) and good to sell.

Cards like Charizard from the Base set, sell like 80$, the 1st Edition one sells 120$.

They will be worth more in the future, but if you really need money now, try finding a Pokémon TCG player and show your cards to him. ;)
Reply:Depends
Reply:Most like to become useless trash.
