Why is Yu-Gi-Oh cards more popular than Pokemon cards?

I like Yu-Gi-Oh cards more since it require less luck and more strategy.

Why is Yu-Gi-Oh cards more popular than Pokemon cards?
In my opinion Yu-Gi-Oh requires much more strategy and planning and skill.
Reply:I think that Pokemon is more cartoony and Yu-Gi-Oh is more "older" or darker.
Reply:No offense, but i like Pokemon cards better. I really never liked the Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I have no idea why people like them that much, but i do know that Yu-Gi-Oh has a better chance of winning the popularity of Pokemon. No doubt at all

Reply:Probably because yugioh has huge monsters on it and pokemon has cutesy monsters and of course boys (who mainly are into these) would go for monster over cutsey

Reply:well it is defiantly more changeling well maybe its that there are cooler monsters ,more cards plus there are more effects and in my opinion its just more fun!

Reply:Yu-Gi-Oh is more popular because the show revolves AROUND the cards... pokemon is a straight forward TV show that is better to watch than Yu-Gi-Oh, but the Yu-Gi-Oh cards are a part of the show and it is therefore easier to pick up the rules.





take me for instance. i know how to play Yu-Gi-Oh just by watching the show. as soon as i tried to play Pokemon TCG, i had no idea. :P even after i had read the rules 10 TIMES!!!





THAT is the ONLY reason that Yu-Gi-Oh cards are more popular than Pokemon cards.

Reply:As a personal preference, I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh! for I see that the gameplay is more exciting and the type of cards it introduces ensures that it never grows old. That and I just find Pokemon Cards to kiddie for my taste now.
Reply:because Pokemon cards are gay and that why plus nobody likes Pokemon its for kids now it got boring and people change there mind some times that happens and nobody can chang that plus its sad beacuse pokemon moves are gay and cards are boring so the movies are lame and the games are okay for now but the Pokemon diamond and pearl are the best
