Should I sell my Pokemon cards now, or will they gain value?

I have many rare Pokemon cards. Should I sell now, or do you think they will gain value?

Should I sell my Pokemon cards now, or will they gain value?
It wouldn't hurt to go to a comic book store and get some kind of idea how much they're worth. Things like this are hit and miss. It might be worth more in the future but it cold also depreciate as time goes on as well. It's up to you. How much do you like those cards? If you really like Pokemon, then hold on to them as a keepsake and don't sell them.
Reply:They will gain value again but in years to come. Remember, everything comes back around. When the kids that played with them when they were little grow up nostalgia will kick in and many of them will want the things that they played with when they were little.





If you have the ability to sit on them for 15-20 years, do it.





Case in point, when I was a kid I played with GI Joe and Transformers. Go on Ebay and look to see what some of those action figures are going for today. Same thing will happen with Pokeman cards. Or at least history says it has a very good probability.

Reply:my kids have some very rare ones too, do you want to buy them and if you find a place to sell let me know so we can unload these things while we still can. soon nobody will want them and well have to hang onto them for 30 years to get anything for them.
Reply:They won't be gaining any value. My local shop won't even buy my Pokemon cards. I'd say get what you can for them before their only use is a coaster.
Reply:I'd attempt to sell them, although I'm pretty sure most people don't care about Pokemon anymore. By the time they gain any significant value (if any) you might not even be around - most things have to sit and stew for a few decades before becoming valuable.
