Which Pokemon cards are more valuable- Japanese or English prints?

I'm looking to but some cards my collection has been long missing. In some cases I have the option of Japanese or English prints and I was wondering if one sells for more than the other.

I am aware of shadowless cards, 1st editions, condition and other factors that help determine a card's worth. What I want to know is does language stand as such an indicator of value and desirability when reselling?

How much can I sell my Pokemon cards for?

Alright, I have two Potion Energy cards, a Lightning energy, 32 Fighting energy, 7 Psychic energy, 32 Water energy, 22 Fire energy, and 20 grass energy.

I also have a rare trainer card, 18 uncommon trainer cards, and 27 common trainer cards.

I have two sets of evolutions, Machamp and Poliwrath. The Machamp is 1st edition holofoil and the Poliwrath is rare non-holo. I also have an Eevee that turns into a Vaporeon.

it could go in the 150$ but if they aren't in good shape it could go pretty low you know what I mean!!!
Reply:Well no offense i dont like pokemon now, but i used to luv it alot, and id say that with those card you will have collectors crazy, especially holos... I'd say maybe $100. try ebay.
Reply:Go check a Beckett Magazine, take it to your nearest card store that still takes Pokemon cards, and negotiate a price with him, or go on ebay and set the price at half of what the worth would be.
Reply:$80 OR $100.

How much are my old pokemon cards worth?

Can somebody give me a link to a web site with a reliable price guide for the first 151 (or whatever) cards. I used to collect them when I was like 8, and I have a near full set. According to an old price guide (from like 1998 or before) they are worth about $350.00, has their value gone up or down since then?

I have 52 holo cards. All different types. Anybody know where i can get the highest price?

How much would my pokemon cards go for?

I've had some "holographic" cards for a while and i was wondering if anyone knows how much an average holographic is worth and where i can possibly sell them?

Not really that much. Pokemon cards are not expensive because only little kids buy them, mostly. Check ebay for specifics.

Can I use my old Pokemon cards for tournament and competition??

I got a powerful pokemon deck...the thing is its all old cards (95-2000)...can I still use them for tournament battle?

Can I use my old Pokemon cards for tournament and competition??
If you are looking to play in a Nintendo sanctioned Pokemon tournament, you will not be able to use that deck. Nintendo only allows modified cards in their tournaments. The current modified is any card that was produced from Ex Deoxys on. If you can find a local league that runs unsanctioned tournaments and they allow unmodified decks... then, by all means, destroy them with whatever cards you feel necessary.

Hope this helps.
Reply:yes until it is original and in good condition. i also play on tournaments using my old destructive card
Reply:of corse you can use it.as long that your card is an original one
Reply:if not you can give them to me. i'm a big collector but i only deal with the first 151 pokemon.

What are Pokemon cards worth now?

I have a whole bunch of pokemon cards from my childhood. I have 1st editions, holographics, 1st edition holographics, 1st edition japanese, 1st edition german holographics, and some japanese birthday card with a white star. My point is that I have A LOT of cards that 5-8 years ago would be worth a fortune and I'm wondering if I can sell them at such a profit that would be worth giving them up because they're pretty sentimental. Please give me some examples of what certain cards are worth and where I can sell them. I looked on ebay but those cards are selling for way too little. I might just be SOL.

What are Pokemon cards worth now?
1. try seeing what sites are selling them for

2. pick up an issue of "inquest gamer" or beckett pokemon edition

3. this site gives you prices for cards

http://cardorder.com/
Reply:From the sound of it, it seems we are working with the Base throught Gym series here. Basically, the price of these cards are generally low due to their age. On average, Holos do not reach over a dollar each and that is if you are lucky. The only cards that are still worth something out of those sets is the usual Base Venusaur, Base Blastoise, any Charizard, Base Mewtwo, and most of the first edition Base cards. If Ebay is not a very good option for you, you may want to check some trading sites that deal with Pokemon. One site that I strongly suggest is www.pokegym.net (its free too!). You will have to get a feel for the site and be sure to read over the site rules but it may be your best bet since it's so superconcentrated on Pokemon cards.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

No more than a quarter. If this was 5 years ago could have been over $5

Most likely the reason it's misprinted is because it's a fake!

How can i get more pokemon energy cards?

my cousin just gave me a bunch of pokemon cards to help me start playing. the problem is, i dont have enough energy cards to make good decks (fire, water, rock, lightening, dark, etc.)! where can i get energy cards? what pre-made decks should i buy that have a lot of energy cards in them? if you have links they have to be from Amazon.com, because that is where i would be buying them.

Thanks!

How can i get more pokemon energy cards?
choices are: 1. you buy booster and have luck

2. you buy a deck with specific types that usually contains two types of energy cards( a lot of them)

Where can I sell my pokemon cards, but not online?

I have loads of pokemon cards that I want to sell, but not online. I just want hard cash in my hands, no digital money. I called a comic book store and they said they dont buy em or even know of anyone who does. Does anyone else here have an idea? im skeptical bout pawn shops... and I dont know any kids.

Where can I sell my pokemon cards, but not online?
A good idea would be to go to a Pokemon league near you and see if the people there like any of your cards and you can sell them there. There you would sell them for what they are actually worth, because the leaders there have to approve the deal and they always know everything =).
Reply:well if you have a store near you like cards and comics you can sell them or you can hold them for longer because i promise you when they stop making them, which they will, they will be worth alot. there should be some type of store that has cards or collectibles, they'll take it.
Reply:I tried to sell all mine recently, no comic book store or anything will take them, and most kids don't even know what Pokemon is, and so won't buy the cards. So, like me, you may be out of luck. Sorry! : ]

Should I sell my Pokemon cards now, or will they gain value?

Hi,

I have many rare Pokemon cards. Should I sell now, or do you think they will gain value?

Thanks.

Should I sell my Pokemon cards now, or will they gain value?
It wouldn't hurt to go to a comic book store and get some kind of idea how much they're worth. Things like this are hit and miss. It might be worth more in the future but it cold also depreciate as time goes on as well. It's up to you. How much do you like those cards? If you really like Pokemon, then hold on to them as a keepsake and don't sell them.
Reply:They will gain value again but in years to come. Remember, everything comes back around. When the kids that played with them when they were little grow up nostalgia will kick in and many of them will want the things that they played with when they were little.

If you have the ability to sit on them for 15-20 years, do it.

Case in point, when I was a kid I played with GI Joe and Transformers. Go on Ebay and look to see what some of those action figures are going for today. Same thing will happen with Pokeman cards. Or at least history says it has a very good probability.
Reply:I would definitely hold on to those.
Reply:my kids have some very rare ones too, do you want to buy them and if you find a place to sell let me know so we can unload these things while we still can. soon nobody will want them and well have to hang onto them for 30 years to get anything for them.
Reply:They won't be gaining any value. My local shop won't even buy my Pokemon cards. I'd say get what you can for them before their only use is a coaster.
Reply:I'd attempt to sell them, although I'm pretty sure most people don't care about Pokemon anymore. By the time they gain any significant value (if any) you might not even be around - most things have to sit and stew for a few decades before becoming valuable.
Reply:you can sell the not so rare cards now and the rare someday
Reply:Don't sell them now. wait until they stop making them so they are considered rare. Good Luck!! Vote Me Best Answer!!!
Reply:They'll gain as much interest as NES cartridges... None.

Sell em now, or you'll end up sellin em for 30 cents instead of $3.
Reply:i didn't know people still colect pokemon cards.
Reply:They are not going to gain much value. You should sell them now and get the money for something better.
Reply:who the hell still has pokemon cards
Reply:you should sell as soon as possible because the rates are decreasing day by day
Reply:Sell them five years ago, when they were worth something.
Reply:sell them. pokemon cards won't gain value as time passes, pokemon will just become less popular and eventually no one will care about those cards anymore.

What are some good pokemon cards?

I wanted to buy my son some pokemon cards good ones so he can battle with his friends and not always lose so could you give me a few names of pokemon cards please. Thanks.

What are some good pokemon cards?
Get him a PSP not Pokemon cards. I don't think kids even play with Pokemon anymore.
Reply:you can't tell untill you by the pack
Reply:Well the new diamond and pearl series has just come out and those have the newest and best pokemon in my opinion. If you'r talking about single cards that you might or might not find in card shops are basic pokemon that are good like palkia, scyther, hitmonchan, and electabuzz. You might want to ask him if he likes the old or new cards because I was going to say buy him the diamond and pearl cards, power keepers series, hidden legends, or crystal guardians packs. If he likes the old cards then you can't really find those at too many places except ebay or at special card shops. Normally if it is shiny or holographic then it's pretty good. If he does like old cards get him charizard, blastoise, or venasaur. If he likes new cards I would just buy him some packs. If you think he is a beginner then buy him a deck not packs because only decks give a lot of energy. I would ask him what he wants and buy him that probably though. Anyway, hope this helps.
Reply:Scyther's Good, no grass types. Water's very good. I only have cards from the original red/blue/yellow versions though.
Reply:Aww... What a nice parent you are! I wish my parents were like that.

Anyhow, If you're really planning to help your child out, I suggest you buy him/her a full deck and not just one card. If he/she already has one (I assume this is the case...) then try to know what type of deck is your child using. After knowing this, here are my recommendations:

Fire Type: Charizard (Stage 2 evolution. In order to be played in the game, must have Basic stage Charmander and Stage 1 Charmeleon.) or Thyplosion (Stage 2. evolution. In order to be played in the game, must have Basic stage Cyndaquil and Stage 1 Quilava.)

Water Type: Rocket's Articuno EX (May cost a little bit high but worth it for a duel game. Best used for decks that are on "rush offense" - meaning a deck that aims to finsh the game quickly.)

Electric Type: Lt. Surge's Magneton (Stage 1 evolution. In order to play this card, must have Basic Stage Lt. Surge's Magnemite.)

Grass Type: Sceptile EX - Highly Recommended! I know a friend whom I cannot beat once he brings this one card on play. (This is for a defense style of deck that attacks later in a duel. Stage 2 Evolution. In order to play this card, must have Stage 1 Grovyle and Basic Stage Treecko.)

Psychic Type: Deoxys (You might be pushed to bring out the money here 'cause this card is kinda' expensive. But really, and I mean really, worth it. You might want to buy two different kinds of this card %26lt;there are four in all%26gt; to be fully effective in battle.)

Well, this is all I know. Plus another Trainer card, called Pokemon Breeder, might really be able to help your kid. I know this because I play Pokemon too :). I hope I have helped you! :)

Search for rich kids who love pokemon! show them your card, Let them announce the first price. Negotiate a little above that price.

THERE is a chance he will offer more money.

Step 1

Talk about the card with the rich boy, how cool it is, blah, blah, blah. How badly you want it, That your cousin has it, let him say that he wants it.

Step 2

few days later (1-3) Tell him in great excitement that you got it. Show off a little, then ask him if he wants it.

Step 3

Say "how much?"

Step 4

Let us assume that he says 15 bucks, start thinking and saying, that you dont wanna let go of your card.

Step 5

Let him raise his price. Tell him a price 5 $ more than that.

Step 6

Even it out, say that , "neither you, nor i win". set the price at 2.5 $ more. 15 + 2.5 = 17.5 $

Step 7

Enjoy your money!

Step 8

Please give me best answer.

How much for original 150 pokemon cards?

can yal give me a few estimates for what i could sell my pokemon cards for? i have all the first 150. the complete set.

How much for original 150 pokemon cards?
Looking at eBay completed listings, the following complete sets went for the prices:

Base Set: $100

Jungle: $80

Fossil: $80

As long as you have the complete set and they're in Mint Condition, you can probably get this much for them.
Reply:I would hope more than 75 bucks for a great collection. I dont think i have a complete set, but i do have a lot. I plan on selling them(my extras. cards r 2 valuable 4 me 2 thro away). Prices may also range depended on where u sell it, stores or online. If u go to stores, go to some card shops that u know and ask them how much they would buy it for. then, simply sell them at the card shop that pays u most.

Where can I go to identify the symbols at the bottom of Pokemon cards?

The symbols I'm looking for represent the different card series. But I can't find a resource, a catalog if you will, of the symbols and what they represent. Oh, and I mean the "series" symbols, not the Pokemon type, like fire, grass, water, etc...

Where can I go to identify the symbols at the bottom of Pokemon cards?
You can know the series of the card set by:

A)Buying Booster Packs or Deck

Example, If you buy an EX Hidden Legends booster pack, when you open the pack, there will be a symbol on the bottom right of the card. There are two symbols.. The smaller symbol shows the rarity of the cards. The bigger symbol is the series symbol..Series symbols are for you to recognize the series that has been released.. It is very helful for collectors. When u open a booster pack , u can see the symbol. That is the symbol of the set

B)Ask a Pokemon Card player in a Tournament Centre..

They will tell you the symbols.. If the guy doesnt knows, ask another.. I'm a player as well but I cant describe it to you since I cant show you the cards..

Hope you can recognize the symbols!!
Reply:First of all, wat r u doin playin pokemon? i mean if u ask me its pretty retarded. Second, if u can ask yahoo q%26amp;a why cant u just look it up on the internet. What should i do with all these pokemon cards?

I used to be obsessed with pokemon cards as a kid. Now ive got this huuuge collection of 3000+ cards from the old sets, and i don't need them anymore. Should i sell them on ebay for like 200$? they still in great shape, i took care of them and stuff... i won lots of tourneys...

What should i do with all these pokemon cards?
Yea
Reply:I would sell them on ebay. You can usually get like a few bucks for like 5 of them, and maybe up to $10 for the good ones. Or, if you're feeling like being really nice and generous, you could donate them to Goodwill or some other charity place or give them away to a neighbor or friend.

Personally, I recommend selling them.

Hope this helps!
Reply:I would sell them. Extra money for a new hobby!

Why do old Pokemon Cards cost so much?

You see, I look on Ebay sometimes, and I wanted to add some Pokemon Cards to my collection. I looked and saw some cards going for MANY dollars, when those cards aren't even rare or special. I would just like to know, why people do that, I don't know if its a rip off or not.

Why do old Pokemon Cards cost so much?
the key to any collectible is that there is a greater demand today than there was when it first came out

think: whats worth more, a velvet underground vinyl or sgt peppers? common sense would tell you sgt peppers since it is far more popular, but it was popular then too. while worth something because its out of print, its not worth nearly as much as a vu lp because the velvets wern't popular when they came out, so there arn't alot of vinyls on the market even though alot of people now realize they were pure gold

so it goes with pokemon, i guese
Reply:Supply and demand.....they are no longer being printed and even if they were no one wants copies, only the original.
Reply:The answer proboly is because the cards are not being made anymore and many people are trying to complete their collections. The prices will go up, but then soon later go down as the years go by like 10 years maybe.
Reply:limited availability

its up to you wether u sell them separatly but i thim collecters would pay a fair bit for them so if u have 50 normal 1ns or more start at $15 for the lot (with the rares start at $20 or sumfin)
Reply:the 9 holos can probably be sold for around 5 dollars... the rares can be sold for 2 (all together) and every 20 cards charge another 3$ thats reasonable

If I mailed you the name of my pokemon cards, would you find the total price for me?

I have a lot of old Pokemon cards that I want to sell to help me get more $$ to help buy a 360 and accesories.

But If I mailed you the card name w/ how many, could you find the price for me?

I've tried going to sites that list them, but I'm not realy a card person, so the sites you go to are really f**ing confusing.

If I mailed you the name of my pokemon cards, would you find the total price for me?
All you do is go to PokeOrder.com and type in the name of the card (example:Pikachu) at the top left corner. Then you will get a list of different cards of Pikachu. Just find the one that looks like your card and the price will be at the far right. Hope I Helped! Good Luck!

Reply:I used to be into and yugio. I tried to sell cards, i couldn't find any store that would take them. So i went on-line and tried to sell a rare card and I got 18 bucks. I wouldn't advise you to sell individual cards, go to ebay or amazon or whatever and sell like 50 cards with a few rare ones in there. I know you dont wanna try places like that but its rare to find a shop or a website buying cards from people.
Reply:grow up, just throw them away no one willl buy them

Is there any specific order you need to have Pokemon cards in when selling them to a comic book store?

:( I'm FINALLY doing it...selling my big thing of pokemon cards..it makes me sad but I really don't use them anymore.. I play the video games more...anyways, im going to a comic book store to sell them tomorrow. Do they need to be in any specific order like common, uncommon, and rare; jungle, base, fossil; etc.?

Is there any specific order you need to have Pokemon cards in when selling them to a comic book store?
It depends on the comic book store. Most, no. If the store is close to where you live, ask if they want you to.

Will Pokemon cards be worth money to save?

I just gave ALL my pokemon cards to my cousin because I lost interest in them. I had around 500 of them and I never used them anymore so I gave it to him. The only thing is, I think I might regret it if they do become a lot of money. Is there any chance of the getting up to worth a lot money?

Will Pokemon cards be worth money to save?
I have a weird feeling there is. Sorry but they dont sell the original pokemon cardsa nymore exept for top dollar. I have over 1000 pokemon cards and i am keeping them. I think if you could maybe"Borrow one back" you could bring it to like gamestop or some card store to ask the experts the value.
Reply:Their not worthless, but their not expensive either- depends on the cards, i have some cards worth 50 cents and some worth 20 dollars. but i don't think the prices of them will go up over time like sports cards.
Reply:I don't think so, unless you have a first edition in mint condition. And even then, only a real fanatic would buy them. Pokemon just isn't popular anymore.
Reply:NO WAY! WHO IN THIS WORLD WOULD LIKE TO BUY THOSE SECOND HAND POKEMON CARDS.....THEY ARE WORTHLESS......ITS A BIT RUDE I KNOW....BUT .....BUDDY U CANT MAKE BUSINESS OUT OF THESE SILLY JUNK......EVEN I USED TO COLLECT THEM AND SPEND THOUSANDS OF MONEY ON THEM BUT IT WAS OF NO USE AND PEOPLE R LEAST INTERESTED ABOUT BUYING THEM NOW.THEY ARE OUT OF DATE NOWADAYS.

hehe ....hope u understand it.
Reply:no i doubt it...theyre not baketball cards or baseball cards so who cares..
Reply:No because it bought some joy out of your cousin. And it brobaly would of given you about 12 dollars.

Does anyone know of a website that could show me the value of my pokemon cards?

I have a lot of Pokemon cards that I am wanting to sell, I just don't know what to sell them for!

Does anyone know of a website that could show me the value of my pokemon cards?
http://www.pojo.com/priceguide/prices.ht...

http://www.sierrascollectibles.com/pokem...

http://www.pokemonvillage.com/tcg/prices...

Or search for your cards on ebay and see how much people are buying them for.
Reply:Well I think you can try Ebay. Just put a reasonable price for them like 6.00 or 8.00 around that price but no pokemon card is worth 900.00. Don't put outrageus prices and you should have a fair sum!!!

Hope I Helped!
Reply:you could always try ebay but the value of the card depends on the condition of the card(s)

Where can i sell yugioh & pokemon cards at good prices?

I need money and i have about 700 pokemon and 700 yugioh cards. I wanna know where i can get the most money for my cards.

Where can i sell yugioh %26amp; pokemon cards at good prices?
Ebay is the best for highest prices. If you go anywhere else you are acting as a middle man so you will get less money.

Also sell singles, you will make more money.
Reply:go to A store and ask if they'll buy your cards. So they can sell them and you get the money? or just http://ebay.com
Reply:ebay or try a card shop and see what you could get out of them first

What Do You Do With Your Rare Pokemon Cards?

If I Get A Rare Card Like Last Week I Got A Dexoys(Holofoil Rare) What Should I Do With It?Its New And Mint Should I Sell It On Ebay Ive Seen Deoxy Cards Sell For Like 5-10 Dollars

Option 1:Sell On Ebay?

Option 2:Wait For The Price To Go Up?

Option 3:Save?

What Do You Do With Your Pokemon Cards?

What Do You Do With Your Rare Pokemon Cards?
If You Have The Old Ones Like The First Holofoil Charizard In Mint Condition That Would Be Worth $30 So Wait For Price To Go Up Maybe Like In 2 Years When They Make A Lot More Card Series Like After All The EX Cards Maybe Your Deoxys Will Be Higher So Option 2
Reply:I don't get them any more, but the only cards that sell on ebay oe EX's if you want to sell you card I suggest you get about 4 more.

YOu could put it up and get about a 50-1$

I build decks with my cards and enter comps.

win.

then sign them and sell them on ebay!
Reply:option 2
Reply:Even though the game isn't as popular anymore, I still collect them and put them in sleeves and binders.
Reply:Option 1: Sell on Ebay

I say this from experience I once had some rare cards but, i waited for price to go up and all that happened was price went down when new packs came out, sell man sell
Reply:I say eat them or burn them
Reply:its a pokemon card who the hell cares?!?!?!?!?!

Do you know anyone who would be interested in buying some old pokemon cards?

This friend of mine had cards from when he used to collect pokemon cards, so he gave them to me. Any Idea on how to get rid of them other than ebay and stuff like that? Also, there aren't alot of people in my area that like pokemon other than my brother and sisters, who I'm not allowed to sell the cards to [paren't rules :( ]. So, what do I do?

Where can I sell collectible comic books and very rare pokemon and yugi-oh trading cards for cash?

Ex.1st Edition Pokemon cards, Very Rare Yugi-Oh trading cards, and collector edition of comics dating back 20 years. For example I have the 1st issue of X-men and a very very rare unopened "The NEW Teen Titans present Tales of Cyborg"

Where can I sell collectible comic books and very rare pokemon and yugi-oh trading cards for cash?
Those comics are not all that rare as far as value is concerned at least the X-Men, the Teen Titans might be if you find a collector that is into them. Dont take anything to your comic book store they will offer you about 35% of the real value and then mark it up for sale after you leave at 125% the true value happened to me a lon gtim eago and I learned the hard way.

Best bet is trying to use Ebay or craigslist to sell them.
Reply:Put an ad in the newspaper.
Reply:Gamestop
Reply:Your local comic book store is a good place to start - although they often will trade you store credit instead of cold hard cash. The best way I've found in selling my comic books was craigslist (just search the name and your city) which is an online bartering website (that is free). Lots of places to list it there... Also how much do you want for the X-men 1st ish? :)
Reply:I wouldn't try to sell the cards, but if you have to try ebay or facebook's marketplace if you have a account.

Does anyone know how much do Pokemon Cards go for?

The Pokemon Cards are in good shape and some are new. Does anyone know of any websites that can help me out?

Does anyone know how much do Pokemon Cards go for?
Websites aren't really going to help you. The value of the cards depends on the buyer not what the value that's said they are. I thought I was going to get tons on my Magick the Gathering cards but only got $50 for 3000 cards because they were not the newer cards.

The best you can do is go to a comic book shop that sells pokemon cards and ask. Look up some stores and call them up.

Yes. Go to any of them and show them the collection. You won't get full value though.

Does anybody have a website where I can find prices of Pokemon cards?

I know this is a weird question but I needed to know. I used to have a lot of Pokemon cards and I'm ready to sell, most likely on Ebay, but there's one in particular i'm excited about. It is the Mewtwo card from the first Pokemon movie that's in an unopened package =D please help :D

Does anybody have a website where I can find prices of Pokemon cards?
There are many websites that price cards. I ususally use pokeorder.com to find prices but i find that they charge a lot more for rare cards when you can get them for $30 cheaper somewhere else. You could get a beckett and find prices in there. Also, go to eBay and look at other prices people have. That is a good place to start if you are going to put your cards on eBay so you know what you are going up against.

The mewtwo in the package will bring in a bit more money than out of package but unless you get someone that really wants it, it will only be about $5. I only paid $3 for mine. Sorry if i burst your excitment.
Reply:www.pokeorder.com

They have single cards for sale there, which should give you an approximate value of your card.

Good luck!
