Are Pokemon cards ever going to be worth something?

The originial pokemon cards? I have a full 500+ of Pokemon Cards from 5 years ago in a perfect condition. Just wondering but is it ever going to be worth something in the future?

The old pokemon cards are not worth very much.The only ones worth something are the rares.By the way, to all of you that were saying Pokemon is retarded and unpopular, you are dead wrong. The game continues to get more popular and has always been popular.
Reply:They are worth a lot now... memories. Seriously, you can't deny the fact that countless memories lie in those seemingly worthless cards. Save them until you're really old... then you could take them to antique's roadshow. :) Report Abuse

Reply:Probably not, and if so, not for a very long time. A lot of people actually saved their cards and probably have the same idea as you.
Reply:nah, probably not. You should have sold them when Pokemon was popular. I recently sold my whole colllection at a garage sale for five bucks.
Reply:Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Pokemon is a franchise that is going to remain popular. Magic prices continue to rise because the game is still growing. This isn't the case with the kid's versions of the game, Pokemon and Yugioh.

Basically, I wouldn't count on making much this lifetime. Give it to your great Grandson as you're dying. Maybe he'll make some cash.

look them up on ebay, add them together and subtract 10% they'll sell.

Reply:sorry,but probably not. They were only popular back in 2000 and 2001. But who knows,maybe in the future,they will become popular again! Someone who is a real fan of them may pay alot of money to get their hands on your collection ;)
